David Mark wins Benue South Senatorial election re-run


Senator David Mark has been declared winner of the Benue South Senatorial re-run, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The former Senate President gathered a total of 84,192 votes, to beat his main rival, Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 71,621 votes. 

Mr Ishaq Eneji, the returning Officer of the electoral body, while announcing the result, said that Senator Mark met all the necessities during the conduct of the poll, having majority of the total vote cast.

Reacting to the victory and call for supplementary election in the annulled polling units, Senator Mark said that his election mirrored the will of the people.
