Abba Moro, 2 others allowed bail, trial to begin on April 27th over N676m job scam


The Federal High Court in Abuja has allowed former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro and two others bail. Delivering judgement on his bail request, the ruling judge, Justice A.I Chikere allowed Moro bail on self-recognition. According to her, Moro has been a public servant without any record of criminality and will not jump bail.
She also allowed Moro's co-accused named Anastasia Daniel Nwobia and F. O Alayebami bail in the sum of N100 million each with one surety each in like sum. She fixed April 27th for beginning of trial. Moro and three others are standing trial for an 11-count charge bordering on abuse of procurement process and diversion of public funds including N676 million they illegally collected from immigration job applicants.
